Floyd Rose Setup Problems

A Floyd Rose or floating tremolo is a balance system. String tension pulls one way. Springs pull the other. Change string gauge, tuning, spring claw position or bridge angle and the whole setup changes.

Do not chase one adjustment at a time

The bridge angle, tuning, intonation, locking nut, spring tension and player expectations need to be handled together. That is why a floating trem can feel frustrating when it is adjusted in pieces.
